The men and women of BALEARIA are aware of the need to preserve the physical balance of where they perform their sailing activities: the Mediterranean sea. The commitment of BALEARIA to the environment goes beyond the requirements of international treaties.

BALEARIA has its own quality standards regarding the collection and treatment of oil waste. During the year 2002, 500 tones of these wastes were collected from the vessels of our fleet to be treated and later recycled. All crew members are aware of the urgent need to prevent any amount of hydrocarbons entering into the sea, no matter how small.

Furthermore, in all the vessels of BALEARIA´S fleet, we perform a selective collection of all kinds of waste by means of special containers that are unloaded in stopover ports. The sea is our life and also our future: at BALEARIA we work every day to make sure we preserve it.
